L'album de la semaine est celui du français Gérald "GG" Bonnegrace qui sous le nom de G'S WAY, nous propose un premier album autoproduit "Seventy Seven" où jazz-funk et influences latines se mélangent pour notre plus grand bonheur ! Les influences assumées de GROVER WASHINGTON Jr, DEODATO ou RAY BARETTO montrent surtout que le monsieur maitrise à la perfection les règles du style ! Chez Fonkadelica on soutient à 100% et on espère bientôt une sortie physique. (album disponible pour l'instant qu'en digital).
Pour le reste toujours dans la marmite de l'émission un savant mélange entre jazz-funk pointu (NATHAN DAVIS, JOE THOMAS...), soul (AVERAGE WHITE BAND), P-Funk caché sous une reprise de Sly & The Family Stone (GENE HARRIS), funk rock clintonien (RUTH COPELAND), electro funk australien contemporrain (LANU) ou encore funk 80's racé (STONE CITY BAND, FRANK HOOKER ou le très jacksonien KWICK).
