La nouveauté de la semaine c'est FROOTFUL ( Nick Radford) qui sortira son album "Colours" le 21 mars prochain chez Freestyle Records. Produit par LACK OF AFRO celui-ci dans un mélange soul-jazz, jazz-funk, latin soul, boogaloo apporte un vent de fraicheur dans la famille groove. Ce projet sera proposé prochainement en live avec un orchestre de 6 musiciens sous le nom de THE FROOTFUL ART ENSEMBLE.
Sorti à l'automne dernier on n'avait pas eu l'occasion de vous présenter le dernier album de THE SPEEDOMETER "The Shakedown". La chose est réparée avec cet excellent titre "Orisha" qui compte en invité le DJ et percussioniste célènre SNOWBOY.
Pour le reste une bonne dose de soul (MARIE QUEENIE LYONS, BEN L'ONCLE SOUL...), du jazz-funk (MAYNARD FERGUSON, THE CRUSADERS...) et du funk 80's (GAP BAND, UNLIMITED TOUCH, GQ...).
